Annabelle's Tea Room

Annabelle's Tea Room offers a cozy dining room that serves an elegant breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere and can accommodate up to 25 guests. The Tea Room is decorated with hutches filled with traditional and contemporary gift selections. Our teas are a variety of flavored and traditional as well as decaffeinated, herbal and fruit.

While Annabelle's Tea Room is now closed to the public, it remains available for private parties, group luncheons, and other festive occasions.

During the 29th Annual University of Okoboji Winter Games (January 23-25, 2009), Annabelle's Tea Room hosted a cooking demonstration and tasting, complete with a cookbook signing, as one of three new events added to the Winter Games of 2009.

Innkeeper Donna Muilenburg gave a cooking demonstration and tasting -- it began promptly at 10 am on Saturday, January 24, 2009, and Muilenburg featured recipes from the new cookbook, just released from the Iowa Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers Association, Discover Iowa: Cooking with Wine, Meats, and other Iowa Products. Cookbook author, Amelia Painter, was present to sign copies of this recipe-filled new cookbook.  The cookbook will remain available for sale in the Wash House gift shop, most copies are signed by the author.
